What About BOB?

"BOB" stands for Backpack Of Beliefs. This is a spiritual discussion group held at the Washington Corrections Center near Shelton to give inmates an opportunity to explore and discuss the many different belief systems of the world. These are open, respectful, and non-judgmental explorative discussions. "What about BOB?" meets once a week on Tuesday evening, where up to 20 inmates are led in discussions involving such topics as Quantum Physics, New Age belief systems, Numerology, Kinesiology, the Law of Attraction, A Course In Miracles, Hinduism, Buddhism, Eastern Christianity, etc. There is also a small lending library available for inmates to check out books. On Fridays, Shelton Community Cinema movies are shown to the inmates. Afterwards, if time permits, or during the following Tuesday's session, there are discussions about the movies.
